Muscat International Airport has relocated Taxi Services Muscat to Level 0 starting December 7, 2025. Passengers can now follow updated signs to reach the taxi office and station.
Previously, taxis operated outside the main terminal building on Level 1, serving the capital and other cities. Travelers relied on this location for convenient pick-ups and drop-offs.
Mwasalat-operated public buses continue to run from the bus station on the ground floor, or Level 0, outside the terminal. Passengers can still choose buses for travel within Muscat.
Airport authorities said the relocation improves passenger flow and ensures smoother access to transport services. They encouraged travelers to follow the new route markers to avoid confusion.
Taxi Services Muscat now operate efficiently from the new location. The airport team actively monitors operations to maintain service quality and reduce wait times.
The relocation supports broader traffic management improvements at Muscat International Airport. Authorities aim to enhance passenger convenience while keeping operations safe and efficient.
Officials also noted that the updated signs and guidance will help first-time visitors navigate the airport more easily. The move strengthens coordination between taxi and bus services.
Passengers are advised to allow extra time during peak hours as staff ensure a smooth transition to Level 0.
The airport plans further enhancements to transportation areas to optimize traffic flow and improve travel experience.
Furthermore, authorities will increase staff presence at the taxi station during peak hours. This ensures travelers receive immediate assistance if needed.
In addition, the airport plans to introduce digital display boards to show real-time taxi availability. These boards will guide passengers more efficiently to available vehicles.
Moreover, staff will conduct regular briefings to update drivers on traffic patterns and passenger volume. This proactive approach reduces delays and enhances service reliability.
The airport also aims to integrate mobile app notifications for taxi arrivals. Passengers can track waiting times, allowing for smoother planning of travel to their destinations.
Finally, officials plan ongoing assessments of Taxi Services Muscat operations. They intend to implement further improvements based on passenger feedback and operational performance data.
