Bahrain Tourism Minister Visits Farmers’ Market at Ritz-Carlton

Bahrain’s Tourism Minister, Fatima bint Jaffar Al Sairafi, recently visited the Bahrain Farmers Market at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. The market operates annually for six weeks, offering a range of fresh seasonal products, handicrafts, and interactive recreational activities. Moreover, families can enjoy outdoor experiences and traditional Bahraini breakfasts during their visit.

Minister Al Sairafi explained that the Bahrain Farmers Market enriches the tourism experience. Furthermore, she added that it enhances the Kingdom’s appeal as a unique destination through authentic experiences that reflect Bahraini culture and traditions.

The minister also highlighted that the farmers’ market actively supports local farmers and entrepreneurs. By showcasing local products, the market demonstrates how Bahraini produce can meet the tourism sector’s demands. Additionally, she noted that replicating such initiatives in hotels can strengthen the local economy and promote sustainable tourism.

In addition, the market provides an interactive space where visitors can meet farmers directly. As a result, guests learn about Bahraini crops, their quality, and production processes. This approach combines tourism with education and cultural appreciation, thereby offering a hands-on experience rooted in local heritage.

The market includes a variety of seasonal fruits and vegetables, traditional crafts, and culinary demonstrations. Similarly, visitors can participate in activities that highlight Bahraini culture, making the experience both engaging and informative.

Officials emphasized that such initiatives align with Bahrain’s broader strategy to boost sustainable tourism. By connecting tourists with local producers, the country simultaneously strengthens economic opportunities for small businesses and preserves cultural identity.

The Bahrain Farmers Market at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel will continue until February 13. It is open every Friday from 8:30 am to 2:30 pm, welcoming residents and tourists alike to enjoy fresh products and cultural experiences.

Looking ahead, the Tourism Ministry plans to support similar projects across the Kingdom. These efforts aim to combine hospitality, local agriculture, and cultural heritage, thereby enhancing Bahrain’s reputation as a leading regional tourism destination.
