The UAE successfully launched its high-precision satellite, Etihad-SAT, into space on March 15. The satellite lifted off on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket. This is the country’s second satellite launch in 2025.
Scientists at the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre in Dubai followed the event closely. Space fans around the world watched as the centre’s first Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellite took off. The launch happened at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.
The UAE continues to expand its space program with advanced satellites. These projects help the country grow in science and technology.
