Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC) Group has generated more than AED478 million ($130 million) in cumulative savings from energy and resource management initiatives since 2014, the Dubai energy company said on Monday.
The group invested AED156.05 million in those initiatives over the same period, according to a statement issued during its participation in the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) 2026.

ENOC said it has improved energy efficiency by 21.7% since 2014 and cut scope 1 and scope 2 greenhouse gas emissions intensity by 11.5%, avoiding a cumulative 1.47 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent.
Renewable energy integration has delivered more than AED75 million in cumulative savings since 2017. The group’s waste recycling rate was 65.24% in 2025.
ENOC recycled 688,785 cubic meters of treated water across its operations in 2025, a water recycling rate of 24.45%. Water intensity was 0.0491 cubic meters per tonne of product, about 20.4% lower than in 2014.
The Jebel Ali refinery redirected about 72,389 cubic meters of treated wastewater for irrigation and supply to industrial users in 2025, generating more than AED812,000 in estimated annual cost savings, the company said.
Car wash recycling systems across ENOC’s service station network recovered 527,043 cubic meters of treated water in 2025, a recycling rate of 67.6%. Dubai Natural Gas Company (DUGAS) recycled or reused about 50,053 cubic meters of treated wastewater, a rate of 18.2%.
“Water security and responsible resource management are fundamental to the long-term resilience and competitiveness of the energy and industrial sectors,” said Hussain Sultan Lootah, Group Chief Executive Officer of ENOC Group.
The company said the work is aligned with the UAE Water Security Strategy 2036, which targets a 21% reduction in total water demand and an increase in the reuse of treated water to 95% by 2036.
