Aldar and ADIB Launch Co-Branded Visa Cards Paying Up to 10% Back in Darna Loyalty Points

Aldar Properties and Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) have launched two co-branded Visa covered cards that pay up to 10 percent back in loyalty points on spending at Aldar’s malls, hotels and leisure venues, the companies said on Wednesday.

The ADIB Aldar Visa Infinite and ADIB Aldar Visa Platinum cards are linked to Darna, Aldar’s digital loyalty program, according to a joint statement. A covered card is the Islamic banking equivalent of a credit card.

Cardholders earn up to 1.5 percent back on eligible Aldar property purchases and on fees at Aldar Education schools. The rate on eligible international spending is up to 2 percent.

New customers can receive up to 20,000 Darna points on sign-up, worth AED1,000, depending on the card tier and eligibility.

Participating venues include Yas Mall, The Galleria Al Maryah Island, World Trade Center Abu Dhabi, Mamsha Al Saadiyat and Al Jimi Mall in Al Ain. The scheme will also cover Saadiyat Grove, an Aldar retail destination under development in the Saadiyat Cultural District that is due to house more than 100 brands.

“Importantly, the partnership extends rewards to eligible property spend, creating meaningful value around one of our customers’ most significant purchases,” Faisal Falaknaz, Group Chief Financial and Sustainability Officer at Aldar, said.

Amit Malhotra, Global Head of Retail Banking at ADIB, said the tie-up was part of the bank’s push to embed its services in customers’ daily spending.

The annual fee is waived from the second year for cardholders who spent AED30,000 in foreign currencies, or AED75,000 in total, in the previous year. Benefits also include access to more than 1,000 airport lounges and up to four valet parking uses a month at selected UAE locations, depending on the tier.

Points can be tracked and redeemed through the Live Aldar app.

ADIB had total assets of AED304 billion at the end of June 2026, the bank said.
