Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) increased 9.2% to AED6 billion. The EBITDA margin widened to 48.7% from 47.3% a year earlier.

Third-quarter net profit rose 7.3% to AED786 million from AED732 million in the same quarter of 2025. Quarterly revenue grew 7.1% to AED4.1 billion, and quarterly EBITDA rose 6.7% to about AED2 billion.

Mobile revenue in the quarter rose 3.9% to AED1.8 billion. Fixed-line revenue increased 7.1% to AED1.2 billion, led by home wireless and enterprise connectivity.

Other revenue, which includes wholesale, information and communications technology, and handsets, climbed 12.6% to AED1.1 billion. The company said the launch of Apple’s iPhone 18 lifted handset sales.

The mobile customer base grew 3.3% from a year earlier to 9.5 million. Postpaid subscribers rose 6.4% to 2 million, and prepaid subscribers increased 2.5% to 7.4 million. Fixed-line subscribers rose 5.2% to 756,000.

du said subscriber growth had slowed amid regional headwinds.

Capital expenditure in the third quarter rose to AED647 million from AED492 million a year earlier, driven by spending on data center infrastructure and network upgrades. As a result, quarterly operating free cash flow fell 2.3% to about AED1.3 billion.

During the quarter, du’s telecommunications license was renewed for 20 years and its royalty regime was extended for three years. The company was also added to the MSCI UAE Standard Index and the FTSE All-World Index.

Fahad Al Hassawi, Chief Executive Officer of du, said investments in data centers, cloud and advanced connectivity were extending the company’s role beyond traditional connectivity. He said the license renewal gave du “the long-term clarity to plan with confidence.”
