Ras Al Khaimah signed 11 agreements during an official visit to China led by Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, the emirate’s government said on Friday.
The delegation visited Shenzhen, Guangzhou and Fuzhou from October 17 to 23. The trip ended in Fuzhou with an agreement establishing friendly relations between Ras Al Khaimah and Fujian Province.

The agreements cover technology, infrastructure and finance, according to the government statement. They include an infrastructure cooperation agreement between Marjan, the emirate’s master developer, and China Road and Bridge Corporation, and a financial framework with Bank of China.
Other agreements include industrial manufacturing ties through the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ), a memorandum of understanding on smart transportation and the low-altitude economy with the Shenzhen Urban Transport Planning Center, and a humanoid robotics research and testing partnership with UBTECH Robotics.
The statement did not give financial values for any of the agreements.
The Fujian agreement sets a framework for economic, maritime and cultural ties, including joint work on green supply chains, port logistics and sustainable building materials. It was signed by Mohamed Omran Al Shamsi, special advisor to the Ruler, and Zhao Zenglian, vice governor of Fujian Province.
In Guangzhou, the emirate opened RAK International (Guangzhou) LLC, a business consultancy that will support trade and investment promotion with Chinese partners.
Sheikh Saud also met representatives of companies and institutions including ZTE, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, China Securities International, Towngas, Xiamen Airlines and Fujian Energy and Petrochemical Group, the Emirates News Agency reported.
“We extend our warmest invitation to our partners in China to join us in Ras Al Khaimah as we collaborate, innovate and shape a prosperous future together,” Sheikh Saud said.
The visit follows memorandums of understanding the emirate signed with ICBC and Bank of China in April, and a 2024 cooperation agreement with Guangdong Province.
