Eastern Province Cement Third-Quarter Profit Rises 39% to SR50 Million on Higher Sales and Lower Costs

Eastern Province Cement Co. said net profit attributable to shareholders rose 38.9% to SR50 million in the third quarter of 2026, from SR36 million a year earlier.

Revenue rose 3.7% to SR310 million from SR299 million, helped by higher cement sales volumes and values, the company said in preliminary results filed with the Saudi Exchange on Sunday, Mubasher and Maaal reported.

Gross profit increased 25.9% to SR73 million, and operating profit rose 44.7% to SR55 million from SR38 million.

The company attributed the annual profit growth to higher revenue and lower cost of revenue, along with lower general, administrative and other expenses. Higher dividend and murabaha income, a reversal of expected credit loss provisions and a lower zakat charge also helped.

Compared with the second quarter, net profit fell 27.5% from SR69 million. Revenue dropped 9.9% from SR344 million on lower cement sales volumes and values.

The company also cited a smaller share of profit from an associate, higher impairment losses on its investment in that associate and lower fair value gains on investments for the quarterly decline.

For the first nine months of 2026, net profit rose 18.6% to SR191 million from SR161 million. Revenue climbed 11% to SR1.01 billion from SR908 million.

Earnings per share for the nine-month period were SR2.23, compared with SR1.87 a year earlier. Shareholders’ equity excluding minority interests rose 7.6% to SR2.46 billion.
