Meliá, in partnership with Infracorp, will develop a waterfront project in Amwaj with a five-star hotel and Meliá-branded residences.
Digital City Bahrain will establish a hub for information and communications technology, innovation and education, designed to attract clusters of technology companies.
The board did not give a breakdown of the $3.89 billion by project or a timeline for the investments.
Non-oil activity accounts for about 86% of Bahrain’s gross domestic product, the board said.
Bahrain’s Minister of Finance and National Economy, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, said at the forum’s opening on Sunday that more than 110 announcements worth over $20 billion would be made during the two-day event.
