Kuwait is expanding its strategic investment partnership with Egypt, aiming to deepen economic and political ties across key sectors. During a recent visit to Kuwait, Egyptian President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi held talks with His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, where both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to boosting cooperation under a long-term investment strategy.
The discussions resulted in a pledge to enhance collaboration in energy, technology, real estate, agriculture, and banking. Kuwait announced plans for new investment projects in Egypt, aligning with both nations’ development visions—Kuwait Vision 2035 and Egypt Vision 2030.
The leaders also explored cooperation in healthcare, education, tourism, and cultural exchange, recognizing their importance to sustainable development. Infrastructure development was another shared priority, reflecting the strategic importance of long-term economic planning.
Both sides praised ongoing progress in joint projects and pledged to build on these successes. The upcoming Gulf-Egypt Investment Forum was highlighted as a key platform to attract regional investment, with Kuwait promising active participation.
On regional issues, the leaders emphasized that political stability is crucial for investment. They called for peaceful resolutions to conflicts and supported stronger diplomacy in the Middle East. President Al-Sisi expressed gratitude for Kuwait’s leadership in the GCC, noting its role in fostering a stable investment environment.
Regarding Gaza, both leaders rejected displacement plans, demanded humanitarian aid access, and reaffirmed support for a two-state solution with East Jerusalem as Palestine’s capital. On Syria, they backed a political transition free from foreign interference and condemned Israeli violations. In Lebanon, they welcomed recent political progress and urged support for national stability.
Overall, their joint stance underscored a shared vision: sustainable regional investment depends on peace, cooperation, and strategic alignment between nations.
