Bahrain Development Bank (BDB) has introduced the third edition of its BDB leadership programme. This move continues BDB’s commitment to develop strong leaders and support SME growth in Bahrain.
To begin with, the programme, developed in partnership with the Institute of Public Administration (BIPA), spans three months and includes several advanced workshops.
Specifically, these workshops will focus on leadership skills, project management, strategic problem-solving, team collaboration, and effective communication.
Moreover, BDB selected 20 high-performing employees to participate in the BDB leadership. These employees will gain essential tools that improve leadership performance and team productivity.
Through this initiative, BDB aims to empower staff with practical strategies that directly enhance workplace success, innovation, collaboration, and long-term growth.
Furthermore, the BDB leadership programme will ensure employees contribute more to the bank’s service excellence and innovation goals.
In a statement, Hend Mahmood, Chief Human Resources Officer at BDB, emphasized the value of this effort. She said leadership development is vital for long-term success and for achieving SME growth.
She also noted that strong leadership helps meet strategic goals while uplifting the bank’s overall performance. BDB continues to invest in its people, recognizing them as the true drivers of transformation.
As a result, the BDB leadership programme represents a major step in creating a lasting impact within the organization. Also, the skills learned will improve service quality and increase customer satisfaction.
In addition, BDB focuses on integrating innovation with leadership training. Employees in the programme will learn to handle real-world business challenges more effectively.
With each edition, BDB strengthens its ability to lead Bahrain’s SME sector. Moreover, another important goal of the programme is to support BDB’s wider transformation strategy.
The initiative helps the BDB leadership programme become more agile, future-ready, and aligned with market needs. The training also creates a culture of accountability and performance improvement.
Looking ahead, BDB plans to continue offering similar opportunities for leadership growth. These efforts not only benefit the bank but also help Bahrain’s economy grow stronger through SME support.
