Iraq’s housing investment is reaching new levels as the National Investment Commission confirmed a record number of licensed housing projects. NIC Chairman Haider Makkiya reported that approved licenses now cover more than 632,000 housing units nationwide. He explained that 424,926 units fall under projects licensed directly by the commission. Furthermore, provincial investment bodies authorized an additional 207,302 units across various governorates. Makkiya emphasized that the residential sector incorporates both vertical and horizontal designs.
