The signing ceremony took place in Abu Dhabi and was attended by President Sheikh Mohamed. The agreement highlights the UAE’s strategy to become a global hub for energy innovation and technological excellence. Under the agreement, the UAE and the US will work together on AI applications in smart manufacturing, energy management, and industrial development. The initiative also emphasizes knowledge sharing, capacity building, and training programs to strengthen expertise in advanced technologies.

Dr Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, managing director and group chief executive of Adnoc, and executive chairman of XRG, signed the AI agreement for the UAE. Doug Burgum, US Secretary of the Interior and Chairman of the National Energy Dominance Council, represented the US.

Dr Al Jaber said the AI agreement reflects the UAE’s commitment to building global partnerships. He added it promotes clean energy, digital transformation, and innovation-driven growth. He also noted it supports the nation’s goal of developing a knowledge-based economy.

Mr Burgum highlighted that the collaboration demonstrates the strong UAE–US relationship. He added that the agreement will enhance energy security, boost digital innovation, and create mutual economic benefits.

Moreover, the AI agreement will encourage joint research and development projects, enabling both countries to explore emerging technologies, optimize energy resources, and implement smart industrial solutions.
