Azerbaijan and Oman are expanding Their Energy Cooperation to strengthen ties in the oil, gas, and renewable energy sectors. Moreover, officials highlighted strategic collaboration to boost energy security and sustainable growth.

Azerbaijan’s Minister of Energy, Parviz Shahbazov, met with Oman’s visiting Minister of Economy, Said bin Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Saqri. During the meeting, Shahbazov emphasized Azerbaijan’s decades-long experience in oil production and its role as a major supplier of natural gas. In addition, he highlighted ongoing renewable energy projects.

Furthermore, the ministers discussed the Caspian-Black Sea-European Green Energy Corridor. They examined electricity, fiber-optic networks, and hydrogen projects. They also talked about creating data centers, ensuring stable power, and attracting new investments.

Both sides stressed the importance of sustainable investment in Oman’s oil and gas sector. Indeed, the industry remains a key part of the global energy market.

Oman’s Minister Al Saqri highlighted the country’s LNG investments. He also emphasized Oman’s ambition to become a leading regional exporter. Meanwhile, the minister noted that four large solar industrial parks are already operating. Additionally, Oman aims to meet 40 percent of its energy needs from renewables by 2040. The country also plans to produce one million tons of green hydrogen by 2030.
