Dubai, February 4, 2026 – Bahrain is advancing its commitment to government innovation at the World Government Summit 2026 in Dubai. The Kingdom’s delegation, led by Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Minister of Transportation and Telecommunications, joined global leaders, policy-makers, and experts to discuss the future of governance.
The summit, themed “Shaping Future Governments,” gathers decision-makers and innovators from over 80 countries. Moreover, Bahrain’s participation demonstrates its focus on modernizing public services and enhancing institutional performance. During the event, the delegation attended dialogue sessions, specialized forums, and reviewed international experiences in digital government transformation.
Dr. Shaikh Abdulla bin Ahmed emphasized that Bahrain’s participation aligns with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. Consequently, the Kingdom seeks to continuously improve government performance, streamline institutional systems, and elevate service quality for citizens. Furthermore, government innovation remains a core pillar of Bahrain’s sustainable development strategy.
Additionally, the delegation highlighted the importance of keeping pace with global developments in digital governance. Bahrain aims to strengthen the exchange of experiences and implement best practices in public policy, artificial intelligence, and big data. As a result, these measures support more efficient, flexible, and sustainable government services for citizens.
The delegation included Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development; Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Al Noaimi, Minister of Information; Rawan bint Najeeb Tawfiqi, Minister of Youth Affairs; Khalid Humaidan, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain; and Shaikh Daij bin Salman bin Daij Al Khalifa, President of the Civil Service Bureau. Together, they explored ways to enhance cooperation with international institutions and expand government innovation.
The summit hosted more than 6,250 participants, including 87 Nobel laureates, over 700 global CEOs, and hundreds of ministers, academics, and decision-makers. In addition, over 445 sessions with 450 speakers provided a platform to develop strategies for improving government performance, fostering international cooperation, and addressing global challenges.
Through its participation, Bahrain reinforces its commitment to government innovation. Moreover, the Kingdom seeks to accelerate digital transformation, adopt cutting-edge technologies, and create efficient solutions to meet evolving citizen needs.
