During the meeting, ministers and officials from GCC states discussed regional cooperation in standardisation, quality assurance, and product conformity. They focused on aligning Gulf standards with global benchmarks. As a result, the effort aims to promote fair trade and protect consumers.
The committee approved several key initiatives. For instance, they endorsed new Gulf technical regulations. The Centre verifies the competence of laboratories, certification bodies, and inspection agencies across the Gulf.
