Bahrain Kalaam Telecom Extends Partnership with Riedel for Motorsport Connectivity

Bahrain-based Kalaam Telecom Group has extended its strategic partnership with Riedel Networks. The new three-year deal strengthens their ability to deliver advanced motorsport connectivity across the Middle East and North Africa.

The agreement builds on earlier cooperation between 2022 and 2024. During that period, Kalaam and Riedel successfully provided high-speed connectivity for global motorsport events across Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE.

Both companies emphasized their shared mission to deliver mission-critical communication solutions. This renewed partnership ensures reliable network services for sports, major media events, and enterprise customers throughout the broader MENA region.

The collaboration is anchored by Kalaam’s regional Point of Presence (POP) in Manama, Bahrain. This POP integrates directly with Kalaam’s KNOT terrestrial cable system, enhancing regional resilience and network efficiency.

The fully terrestrial KNOT system creates a unique 100% land-based route. It seamlessly links with Riedel’s global backbone, simplifying regional access and enabling secure, high-capacity communications across diverse industries including energy and finance.

These industries rely on stable international connections. The partnership provides reliable, low-latency links between local operations and global networks. Therefore, it strengthens business performance while ensuring uninterrupted digital transformation across multiple sectors.

Kalaam Telecom CEO Veer Passi highlighted Bahrain’s central role. He stated that Kalaam is proud to serve as connectivity partner for the world’s premier motorsport series hosted in the region.

Passi emphasized that Riedel’s decision to establish Bahrain as its Middle East hub reflects the Kingdom’s position. Bahrain continues to grow as a trusted digital gateway for regional communications.

This partnership also strengthens Kalaam’s international reputation. The company now stands as a trusted enabler of reliable, low-latency, high-speed connectivity solutions tailored for global sporting events and enterprise-level communications needs.

Riedel Networks CEO Michael Martens also praised the collaboration. He noted that the partnership with Kalaam enabled delivery of premium connectivity for international motorsport while expanding reliable solutions for regional enterprises.

With the renewed agreement, Kalaam and Riedel will broaden their joint services. They will target growing enterprise demands, offering network solutions for global events and regional digital platforms.

The companies plan to expand infrastructure further. New interconnection points will be added, alongside additional services designed for broadcasters, enterprises, and other digital players within the growing Middle East market.

This expansion underscores the importance of connectivity partnerships. By investing in infrastructure, Kalaam and Riedel ensure long-term support for industries that rely on secure, scalable, and high-capacity communication technologies.

Overall, the extended deal reaffirms Bahrain’s position as a hub for digital growth. Kalaam Telecom and Riedel’s cooperation on motorsport connectivity also strengthens the Kingdom’s role in MENA’s digital future.
