Bahrain Launches Innovative Masajid App to Modernize Mosque Management

Manama, Bahrain — The Jaafari Endowments Directorate has launched the Masajid app, a digital platform designed to modernize mosque management and streamline administrative and field operations. The app primarily serves mosque caretakers and religious staff, helping them improve service efficiency and oversight.

The Masajid app integrates multiple tools for monitoring mosque operations. It ensures timely openings for prayers, tracks attendance, and enables caretakers to submit maintenance or furnishing requests electronically. Additionally, it facilitates requests for cleaning and sanitisation supplies and circulates official notices and updates related to mosque affairs.

During a recent meeting of the Jaafari Endowments Council, Council Member Maher Alawi Mahfoodh presented the app’s objectives and features. He explained how the platform aligns with the Directorate’s wider development and digital transformation strategy. Mahfoodh added that a dedicated training program will soon launch to help caretakers learn the new system efficiently.

Chairman Yusuf bin Saleh Al Saleh, along with other council members, praised Mahfoodh and the project team from the Directorate and the implementing company. They commended their professionalism and commitment to delivering the Masajid app to high standards.

Al Saleh highlighted that the launch of the Masajid app reflects the Directorate’s ongoing drive toward digital transformation. He said the platform will enhance communication, accelerate administrative procedures, and improve the overall experience for worshippers and mosque visitors.

With the Masajid app, the Directorate aims to modernize mosque management while ensuring that services meet the highest standards. This initiative represents a major step toward integrating technology into religious institutions and improving efficiency across Bahrain’s mosques.
