Hakeem Program Bahrain marks a major shift in the country’s approach to healthcare. Therefore, the government will launch a new tender to choose an insurance company. Next, that company will manage and deliver this national health insurance program. As a result, all residents will gain access to quality medical services under one sustainable system.
The Tender Board will oversee the bidding process for Bahrain’s national health insurance initiative. Meanwhile, insurance companies will compete for a five-year contract to manage the mandatory coverage plan. In particular, the selected firm must provide comprehensive benefits and deliver strong health coverage. Additionally, it must work closely with local medical providers to enhance care quality and access.
The Supreme Council of Health will supervise Hakeem Program Bahrain. Moreover, this council sets Bahrain’s health goals and ensures that the system delivers results. Furthermore, it will also support efforts to expand coverage and improve delivery. As a result, more people will benefit from efficient and timely care.
The national health initiative promotes stronger private sector participation. In this context, Bahrain’s healthcare reform plan aims to boost innovation and expand access to services. Consequently, residents will benefit from more options in medical care. Notably, the program includes emergency, primary, and specialized treatment for all.
The Program also helps providers achieve international accreditation. For example, it helps hospitals meet global health standards. As a result, Bahrain’s healthcare system will gain international trust and respect. Furthermore, it ensures that patient safety and service quality remain high.
The government is reforming regulations through the Hakeem project. In response, new licensing rules and stronger oversight will raise provider standards. Therefore, all clinics and hospitals must now meet updated governance requirements. This way, it improves fairness and accountability across the entire health sector.
Under the program, resources will be used more efficiently. Specifically, the program cuts waste, reduces excess costs, and improves outcomes. In addition, it creates new jobs and supports private investment in the health sector.
Hakeem Program guarantees healthcare access for all residents. Regardless of income, everyone will receive safe and affordable care. Ultimately, the government hopes this model sets a strong example across the region.
