Bahraini Women’s Progress Drives Economic Growth and Leadership

Bahraini Women Progress took center stage as Rana Ebrahim Faqihi, CEO of the National Bureau of Revenue (NBR), praised their role in advancing the kingdom’s economic and developmental achievements. She highlighted that women’s accomplishments reflect the vision of King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the guidance of Crown Prince and Prime Minister Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa.

During a public address, Faqihi underscored that royal support has empowered Bahraini women to reach prominent positions locally and internationally. She emphasized that their contributions are essential to Bahrain’s continued growth and global reputation.

Faqihi also commended the Supreme Council for Women, led by Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa. She noted that the council’s initiatives encourage innovation, leadership, and active participation among women in national development. These programs have helped expand opportunities for women in government, business, and civil society.

She added that the achievements of Bahraini women are a source of national pride. “Their successes demonstrate the kingdom’s ongoing commitment to empowerment and equality,” Faqihi said. She also encouraged women to continue striving for excellence and contributing to Bahrain’s progress and prosperity.

Experts say such initiatives align with Bahrain’s broader strategy to increase women’s participation in the workforce and leadership roles. According to government data, women now occupy a growing percentage of senior roles in public and private sectors. This trend supports economic diversification and enhances national competitiveness.

Faqihi highlighted that ongoing support and training programs for women further strengthen their skills and enable them to influence policymaking and economic decisions. The combination of education, mentorship, and policy guidance continues to improve women’s economic and social outcomes.

Looking ahead, NBR and the Supreme Council for Women plan to expand programs that encourage women’s entrepreneurship, leadership, and innovation. Officials believe these efforts will further elevate Bahrain’s position as a regional leader in gender equality and sustainable development.

Bahraini Women Progress continues to shape the kingdom’s future, driving economic growth and inspiring new generations to engage in national development.
