The inauguration took place at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center. Mohammed bin Hassan Al Malki, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, led the ribbon-cutting. He then toured multiple exhibition pavilions. During the tour, he reviewed the latest technologies and services from companies in construction, design, and project management. Officials emphasized that the event reflects Qatar’s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and strategic infrastructure growth.
The exhibition features more than 150 companies from over 25 countries. It covers construction, design, fit-out, procurement, and project management sectors. Furthermore, speakers focused on sustainability, digital construction, modular development, and infrastructure delivery. Sessions highlighted Qatar’s Vision 2030 goals and trends such as AI, eco-friendly materials, and digital project management. Experts said these discussions provide practical insights to improve construction practices and project efficiency.
Muhammed Kazi, Senior Vice President at dmg events, highlighted that Big 5 Construct Qatar unites expertise, products, and partnerships driving the sector forward. In addition, Rawad Sleem, Co-Founder and General Manager of NeXTfairs, said the first day showed strong engagement. He added that the event fosters collaboration and innovation, supporting Qatar’s sustainable development goals.
The first Big 5 Talks covered topics like transforming Qatar’s construction with BIM, delivering infrastructure efficiently, applying next-generation AEC technologies, and exploring sustainable architecture. Speakers also explained how digital project delivery and smart infrastructure solutions enhance the built environment. Attendees responded positively, showing strong sectoral interest and readiness for international cooperation.
