Swiss Group DKSH to Acquire Dubai-Based NewBridge Pharmaceuticals for $390 Million

Swiss market expansion services group DKSH has agreed to acquire Dubai-headquartered NewBridge Pharmaceuticals for an enterprise value of $390 million, the company said in an ad hoc announcement on Monday.

DKSH will buy 100% of NewBridge, a commercialization platform for specialty and rare disease medicines that operates in 14 markets across the Middle East and North Africa.

NewBridge was founded in Dubai in 2010. Saudi Arabia and the UAE are among its key markets, and its portfolio covers oncology, neurology, immunology, gastroenterology and rare diseases.

NewBridge is expected to generate net sales of around $385 million in 2027, with a high single-digit EBITDA margin, DKSH said.

The acquisition will be financed with debt. It is subject to regulatory approvals and is expected to close by the end of the first quarter of 2027.

DKSH said it expects the deal to add to its net sales growth and core EBIT margin, and to earnings per share, from closing. NewBridge’s management team will join the DKSH organization.

“It also represents an important step in our strategy to expand beyond Asia Pacific into structurally attractive healthcare markets and to strengthen our capabilities in rare diseases and innovative launches,” DKSH Chief Executive Officer Stefan Butz said.

NewBridge Chief Executive Officer Joe Henein said the combination would help the company “accelerate the next phase of our development” across the region.
