Dubai continues to strengthen its reputation for innovative tourism projects with plans for a massive floating resort inspired by the historic city of Venice.
The development, known as Floating Venice, will feature more than 400 luxury cabins and suites. Notably, around 180 of these accommodations will sit underwater, offering guests a unique hospitality experience beneath the sea.
The project aims to combine luxury tourism, advanced engineering, and immersive entertainment in a destination unlike any other in the region.
Furthermore, the resort will include Venetian-style canals, cultural attractions, restaurants, entertainment venues, and luxury hospitality facilities designed to recreate the atmosphere of Venice while incorporating modern technology.
Developers expect the project to attract international visitors seeking exclusive travel experiences. As a result, the resort could further strengthen Dubai’s position as a global tourism and hospitality hub.
In addition, the project reflects Dubai’s long-term strategy of investing in landmark developments that attract visitors, support economic diversification, and enhance the emirate’s global profile.
Tourism experts believe innovative projects such as Floating Venice help distinguish Dubai from other destinations by offering experiences that combine luxury, architecture, and entertainment.
Meanwhile, construction work continues as developers prepare for the resort’s anticipated opening between 2027 and 2028. The project highlights Dubai’s ongoing focus on creating future-oriented attractions and expanding its portfolio of world-class tourism destinations.
