Bahrain’s GFH Bank has exited its Saber Power Investments offering, delivering cumulative net cash distributions of about $173.5 million to investors, the bank said on Wednesday.
The offering generated a combined net return of more than three times the money invested over a short holding period, GFH said. It did not disclose the size of the original investment, the buyer or the exact holding period.

Saber Power Investments combined a private equity co-investment in Saber Power Services with a yield-enhancing portfolio of liquid assets, according to the statement.
GFH made the co-investment alongside Schroders Capital. Greenbelt Capital Partners led the investment, which aimed to expand the US-based critical electrical infrastructure services platform.
Saber Power provides engineering, design, construction, testing, commissioning and maintenance for critical electrical systems. Its customers include utilities and the technology, industrial, energy and data center markets, as well as renewable energy and battery storage projects.
Hammad Younas, chief executive of GFH Equities and chief investment officer of GFH Bank, said the exit came “at a time when global markets are facing several macroeconomic and geopolitical headwinds, including subdued exit activity.”
GFH is an Islamic wholesale bank licensed by the Central Bank of Bahrain. It reports more than $25 billion in assets and funds under management and is listed on Bahrain Bourse, the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange, Boursa Kuwait and the Dubai Financial Market.
The bank reported a 13.33% rise in first-half 2026 net profit to $76.2 million in August.
