Iraq is growing its gas-powered vehicle network by opening new auto gas fueling stations in Iraq. The Ministry of Oil announced the launch of four new stations along a key highway.
The General Company for Gas Filling and Services is leading this expansion. The government wants to make gas an affordable and eco-friendly fuel option. Officials believe this move will help the economy and improve transportation.
General Manager Eng. Anmar Ali Hussein shared details about the new fueling stations. The locations in Muthanna province include:
- Al-Naqaf Tunnel Station – Located at the southern entrance of Samawah.
- Marj Al-Bahrain Station – Positioned at the entrance of Al-Warka district.
- Dalat Al-Khair Station – Serving drivers in Rumaitha city.
- Najmat Al-Ghanem Station – Built along the international highway near Samawah’s northern entrance.
Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, Hayan Abdul Ghani, strongly supports this initiative. Deputy Minister for Gas Affairs, Dr. Izzat Saber Ismail, is closely monitoring the project’s progress.
The government believes auto gas fueling stations in Iraq will provide significant benefits. Gas-powered vehicles reduce fuel costs and lower emissions. Officials hope this effort will encourage more drivers to switch to gas.
This project is part of a larger energy strategy. Iraq wants to increase access to cleaner fuel and support energy efficiency. The Ministry of Oil plans to continue building more gas stations across the country.
With the expansion of auto gas fueling stations in Iraq, motorists will have better fuel options. The country is committed to making gas a practical and widely available choice.
