Jazeera Airways has announced the launch of daily flights connecting Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates. The new service aims to maintain regional travel links during the ongoing disruptions affecting air transport in the Middle East.
The airline will operate flights between Qaisumah Hafar Al Batin International Airport and Al Ain International Airport starting Wednesday. The route supports continued travel between the Gulf countries while regional air traffic remains affected.
The move also strengthens connections with Kuwait City. Passengers traveling on the route will complete part of their journey by bus between Kuwait and Qaisumah Hafar Al Batin Airport.
Barathan Pasupathi said the route expands the airline’s regional network. He added that the service will support travel for families, business passengers, and essential journeys during the current situation.
The flights also provide access to international travel hubs in the UAE. Passengers can connect to global destinations through Dubai International Airport and Zayed International Airport.
These connections help travelers reach destinations beyond the Gulf region. The route may also assist families separated by travel restrictions in reconnecting during the crisis.
The airline said the service represents the first air connection between Kuwait and the UAE since operations at Kuwait International Airport were suspended due to the ongoing regional situation.
Airlines across the Middle East have adjusted schedules as tensions affect airspace and travel demand. Some carriers suspended routes, while others introduced alternative connections to maintain passenger mobility.
Jazeera Airways’ new route therefore aims to keep essential travel channels open between Gulf countries while regional aviation operations continue adapting to the evolving situation.
The airline expects the service to attract travelers who need flexible routes during the current disruptions. Many passengers are searching for alternative travel options as several airports in the region face operational limitations.
Industry analysts say regional carriers are increasingly using secondary airports to maintain connectivity. Smaller hubs such as Al Ain can therefore play a greater role in sustaining travel during periods of disruption.
Jazeera Airways indicated it will continue monitoring developments in regional airspace. The airline may adjust its schedule or introduce additional services if travel demand and operational conditions change in the coming weeks.
