Kuwait and Visit Kuwait Launch Unified Digital Platform for Visa Applications

Kuwait has officially launched the Visit Kuwait platform, enabling travelers to apply for entry visas digitally. The platform aims to simplify visa procedures and provide a unified gateway for all visitors. This initiative aligns with Kuwait Vision 2035, which emphasizes tourism development and international accessibility.

The Visit Kuwait platform offers four types of visas: tourist, family, business, and official. The tourist visa allows stays of up to three months for those exploring Kuwait’s cultural, heritage, and leisure sites. Family visas enable residents to invite relatives for up to 30 days, supporting family reunification. Business visas are valid for 30 days and cater to representatives attending meetings, negotiations, or events. Official visas serve government delegations and diplomatic missions.

Additionally, Abdulrahman Al Mutairi, Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs, said the platform enhances accessibility for all visitors. He highlighted that Visit Kuwait provides a smart map, itinerary-planning tools, real-time notifications, and exclusive offers in both Arabic and English. The portal also includes cultural and entertainment event listings, further improving the travel experience.

Additionally, the platform serves as a central hub for public and private sector collaboration. Companies can apply for residency visas to host events, making it easier to organise activities that attract international visitors. The unified digital system promotes Kuwait globally and strengthens the country’s tourism and cultural sectors.

The Visit Kuwait initiative supports economic diversification by increasing international tourism. It reflects the government’s commitment to leveraging digital infrastructure to simplify travel, enhance visitor experience, and boost Kuwait’s global presence. Furthermore, the platform encourages engagement with local heritage, arts, and culture, positioning Kuwait as a modern and welcoming destination.

Overall, tourists and business travelers can now rely on the Visit Kuwait portal for efficient visa applications and comprehensive information. By consolidating all tourism services under one platform, Kuwait ensures smoother travel, better planning, and enhanced international visibility. The platform represents a major step in modernizing tourism and promoting the country as a digitally connected, visitor-friendly hub.
