Officials from Muscat Governorate and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources led the discussions.
Dr. Mahmoud Al Mamari showed a presentation during the meeting. He explained how the project is moving forward. The presentation included goals, stages, methods, and early results. To make these goals happen, the team first looked at rainfall and surface water data. After that, they designed maps to show where floods might happen. Then, they created plans for how to manage these risks.

Right now, the project is 54% complete. Work has started in Muscat, Dhofar, and Musandam. Officials want to finish everything by 2026. The team believes that having strong flood risk plans in Oman will protect many people.
Experts will collect all the work into one big report. This report will be called the Flood Risks Evaluation Guidebook. It will be shared with all the groups involved.
