Oman’s Ministry of Transport, Communications, and Information Technology signed three strategic agreements aimed at improving the country’s infrastructure in roads, ports, and maritime services. These agreements are part of ongoing efforts to enhance the quality and efficiency of Oman’s road networks and port services.
The first agreement, signed with Galfar Engineering and Contracting, focuses on the development of a 30-km dual carriageway project connecting Izki and Nizwa in A’Dakhiliyah Governorate.
The second agreement was signed with Manji International Ports to improve the port sector. This partnership will focus on the design, construction, management, and operation of a new port in the Wilayat of Shaleem W’Al Halaniyat Islands. The port will be dedicated to transporting quarry products.
The third agreement, inked with Omani Integrated Logistic Services (ILS Oman), is aimed at creating an investment framework for Port Sultan Qaboos. This agreement will support the port’s growth by improving ship supply services and crew change activities and attracting commercial activities that align with the port’s role as a key tourist destination.
These agreements reflect Oman’s commitment to improving its infrastructure and strengthening the maritime sector.
