Qatar and Ukraine trade relations expanded during new discussions held in Doha, where business leaders met to strengthen economic cooperation and explore fresh investment opportunities. The talks reflected growing interest from both sides in building long-term commercial partnerships across multiple sectors. First Vice Chairman of Qatar Chamber, Mohamed bin Ahmed bin Twar Al Kuwari, hosted Ukrainian Ambassador H E Andrii Kuzmenko at the Chamber headquarters in Doha. The meeting also included Dmytro Khodorovskyi, Head of the Trade Mission at the Embassy of Ukraine. Both sides focused on improving trade flows and enhancing private sector engagement.
The discussions centered on strengthening cooperation between business communities in Qatar and Ukraine. Officials reviewed current trade levels and identified areas for expansion. In addition, they explored ways to improve coordination between companies in both countries to support smoother commercial activity.
Food security and agriculture emerged as key priorities for future cooperation. Both sides also discussed opportunities in agribusiness, supply chain development, and investment partnerships. These sectors offer strong potential for long-term and sustainable economic growth.
Qatar Chamber leadership emphasized the role of the private sector in advancing Qatar Ukraine trade. Mohamed bin Twar Al Kuwari noted that relations between both countries continue to develop steadily. He also stressed that stronger joint investment could significantly increase trade volumes.
The Ukrainian Ambassador expressed strong interest in expanding economic ties with Qatar. He highlighted new opportunities for Ukrainian companies in Gulf markets. As a result, he encouraged deeper engagement between chambers of commerce and business networks.
