Qatar ISO 26000 Training Boosts Social Responsibility Awareness

Qatar Chamber hosted a forum titled Qatar ISO 26000 training to promote social responsibility across public and private sectors. This event was held in partnership with the Regional Network for Consultancy. It aimed to guide institutions toward aligning with the ISO 26000 Social Responsibility Standard.

To start, the Qatar ISO 26000 training provided participants with an in-depth understanding of the global framework. The standard encourages transparency, ethical behavior, and accountability. Moreover, it helps institutions develop sustainable and socially responsible practices. Participants came from both government and private entities, showing broad interest in responsible governance.

Furthermore, the training included four main themes. First, speakers introduced the ISO 26000 standard and explained its global significance. Next, they outlined a clear roadmap for aligning operations with the standard. Then, they discussed how ISO 26000 can guide institutions in decision-making. Finally, they explored the process for certifying compliance with this social responsibility framework.

Dr. Ali Abdullah Al-Ibrahim, Vice President of the Regional Network for Social Responsibility, delivered the keynote speech. He emphasized the value of responsible business behavior. He also encouraged participants to integrate ISO 26000 principles into their organizational cultures.

In addition, Fatima Issa Al-Kuwari, Head of the Training and Development Section at Qatar Chamber, spoke during the opening session. She stated that the Qatar ISO 26000 training supports the Chamber’s efforts to promote sustainability across the nation. According to her, the Chamber works continuously to empower various sectors to adopt global best practices.

She further explained that capacity building remains a key focus. Therefore, the Chamber offers training, tools, and guidance to institutions. These efforts ensure that both public and private entities can improve their social impact. The Qatar ISO 26000 training provided a platform for dialogue, experience sharing, and collaboration among attendees.

Additionally, the forum helped raise awareness about the value of aligning with international social responsibility standards. Institutions gained practical steps to enhance operations. As a result, they now better understand how to implement sustainable initiatives that benefit communities and stakeholders.

In conclusion, the Qatar ISO 26000 training strengthened national efforts toward responsible organizational behavior.
