Qatar Life Skills Program continues to grow, and therefore Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB) and INJAZ Qatar work closely to empower young learners. This year, the Qatar Life Skills initiative reached more than 27,000 students across 71 schools in the country.
Moreover, over 180 teachers received specialized training to deliver the Qatar youth skills curriculum in classrooms. As a result, the sessions became part of the academic calendar, giving students structured and interactive lessons. In total, the program offered 12 hours of engaging and practical content for each participant.
In addition, the Program runs for three years under the guidance of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. Its main goal is to prepare Grade 7 and Grade 9 students with essential academic and professional skills. Furthermore, the initiative includes two distinct programs, each tailored to specific needs at each grade level.
For Grade 7, the “It’s My Business” track introduces design thinking as a creative approach to problem-solving. In this way, students also gain a hands-on introduction to entrepreneurship. They learn to identify market needs, design solutions, and plan steps to launch a business idea, all essential elements of Qatar Life Skills development.
Meanwhile, the “It’s My Future” program for Grade 9 focuses on career readiness. Students explore a range of job opportunities, build a personal brand, and learn to write professional resumes. In addition, they develop workplace skills and behaviors needed to succeed in future employment.
QIB’s head of corporate communications, Mashaal Abdulaziz Al Derham, expressed pride in the program’s strong results. She emphasized that the Program reflects QIB’s long-term commitment to youth education. Moreover, she noted that teaching life and financial skills early builds confident and capable young people. This approach also aligns with Qatar National Vision 2030 by preparing future leaders.
Likewise, INJAZ Qatar CEO Emad Al Khaja praised the ongoing collaboration. He explained that the Qatar Life Skills framework creates a learning environment extending beyond the classroom. Furthermore, it equips students to make informed life and career choices, reinforcing its long-term value.
In addition, the program bridges the gap between academic learning and real-world application. It provides students with tools to contribute meaningfully to Qatar’s economic and social development. As more students participate each year, the Qatar Life Skills Program’s influence continues to grow.
Through consistent teamwork and shared goals, QIB and INJAZ Qatar have built a strong educational model. Consequently, it empowers students to take control of their future, think creatively, and act with confidence. The partnership’s continuing success proves that collaboration can deliver lasting benefits for individuals and the wider community.
