Qatar’s LNG transport leader Nakilat reported strong financial results, driven by rising demand and efficient operations. The Qatar LNG shipping profit increased by 3.7%, reaching QR860 million compared to QR829 million last year. This steady growth demonstrates Nakilat’s strong position in global energy logistics.
In addition, the board declared an interim dividend of 7.2 Qatari Dirhams per share. Shareholders on record will receive the payment. This return aligns with investor expectations and supports confidence in the company’s LNG shipping performance.
Meanwhile, Nakilat reduced its total expenses by 4.5%, bringing them down to QR1,396 million. This cost efficiency contributes directly to the rising Qatar LNG transport earnings, which continue to benefit from smart spending and resource control.
CEO Abdullah Al Sulaiti praised the company’s team for its resilience and focus. He emphasized how strong governance, and efficient operations boost the company’s role in Qatar’s LNG shipping sector. Nakilat also seeks cost-effective financial strategies to maintain its momentum.
Furthermore, the company expanded its LNG fleet by starting the construction of 25 vessels in South Korea. These tankers will serve QatarEnergy’s LNG expansion program and increase long-term revenue. This expansion supports both operations and the broader Qatar LNG shipping profit outlook.
Additionally, Nakilat started building six more vessels at Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries. The fleet includes two LNG tankers and four LPG/ammonia ships. Nakilat will fully own these vessels and use them for long-term global energy logistics.
As expected, these expansions are designed to support future growth in the Qatar LNG logistics revenue. At the same time, Nakilat maintained top safety and environmental ratings from the British Safety Council, reinforcing its operational excellence.
Nakilat was named among the Top 100 listed firms in the Middle East. This honor affirms its leadership in energy transport and shipping performance. As part of its transparency, the company will brief investors on these results through a scheduled update.
