This strategic move gains strong backing from the Mohammed bin Rashid Innovation Fund (MBRIF). With MBRIF’s support, Quiqup grew rapidly and doubled its business in the last two years. Now, with new operations in Saudi Arabia, Quiqup expands logistics network and brings new value to the growing e-commerce sector there.
Fatima Yousif Alnaqbi from the Ministry of Finance explained how MBRIF helped drive Quiqup’s success. She said supporting smart and growing companies builds the economy. She praised Quiqup for using innovation and smart planning to expand across borders.
Quiqup’s CEO, Bassel El Koussa, also shared how this move fits into a bigger goal. He said customers want faster and smoother logistics. So, it made sense to expand into Saudi Arabia. He also noted that strong performance in the UAE gave them the strength to move forward.
El Koussa believes the Gulf region functions as one connected market. So, better logistics in one country helps all the others. This is why expanding into Saudi Arabia improves overall service across the region.
Quiqup’s story shows how smart support and a solid plan can grow a company quickly. MBRIF helped the company through its Guarantee Scheme. With that support, Quiqup increased its customer base by 77% year-on-year. Since 2021, its client base grew 25 times.
