Lulwa bint Saleh Al Awadhi, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Women, received the 2025 Sustainability Shield. This recognition celebrates her selection among the Top 100 Sustainability Champions in the Middle East and North Africa. The Sustainability Shield highlights her efforts to advance sustainable development and promote women’s empowerment across the region.
Professor Youssef Abdulghaffar Al Abbasi, Chairman of the Regional Network for Social Responsibility, presented the award during a virtual ceremony. The event also launched the 2025 edition of the Top 100 Sustainability Champions in MENA, alongside the Global Sustainability Index. Regional leaders and sustainability experts attended the ceremony.
Al Awadhi’s work aligns with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals and Bahrain’s national vision.
