The United Arab Emirates and Angola signed a Memorandum of Understanding to establish the UAE–Angola Business Council. This new body strengthens economic ties and promotes long-term trade and investment partnerships between both countries. As a result, UAE Angola trade will gain momentum across several priority sectors.
The signing took place in Luanda during an official visit by a high-level UAE economic delegation. Business leaders and officials from both nations attended the ceremony, highlighting the importance of stronger bilateral cooperation. Furthermore, representatives from the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Angola formalized the agreement.
Leaders from both sides described the UAE–Angola Business Council as a milestone for bilateral relations. They stressed the council’s role as a structured platform to help companies identify opportunities and build strong partnerships. Moreover, the council will support entrepreneurs, investors, and corporations by guiding them into new and high-value markets.
The council will also focus on strategic sectors identified by both nations. These include trade, investment, infrastructure, and industrial development. In addition, the council will organize business forums, exhibitions, and trade missions. Consequently, companies from both sides can expand cooperation and increase visibility in new markets.
Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Vice Chairman of the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry, emphasized the benefits of the council. He explained that it creates tangible opportunities for companies from both countries to cooperate effectively. Likewise, Angola’s Chamber of Commerce confirmed its commitment to developing long-term partnerships that turn shared interests into economic outcomes.
Entrepreneurs and investors will also gain significant advantages from this initiative. The council provides a dedicated platform to showcase projects, form partnerships, and explore collaborative ventures. As a result, UAE Angola trade will reach new levels of cooperation that deliver growth and prosperity.
Angolan officials stressed the importance of knowledge exchange within the council. They noted that stronger dialogue improves access to information about regulations and emerging opportunities. Therefore, the council ensures smoother business processes and builds confidence among companies operating in both markets.
Future activities will include joint delegations and regular interaction between the business communities of both countries.
