Dubai — UAE residents can now join Bitcoin mining through Cloud Miner, a new cloud-based platform launched by telecom operator du. The service offers the first fully regulated, subscription-based mining opportunity in the UAE.
Cloud Miner allows users to rent computational power instead of setting up costly mining equipment at home. This model removes the usual barriers such as electricity costs, hardware maintenance, and technical setup. Residents can start mining immediately after subscribing.
The platform was unveiled on November 2, 2025, during a launch event at the Burj Khalifa. It will operate exclusively for UAE residents under local regulatory standards. Subscriptions run through an online auction at onlineauction.ae from November 3 to 9. Each contract provides 250 terahashes per second (TH/s) of mining capacity for 24 months at fixed, transparent fees.
du designed Cloud Miner to comply with UAE regulations. Users must verify their identity through UAE Pass, meeting local Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) requirements. Two-factor authentication ensures account security, while all operations take place in UAE-based data centres. This approach guarantees data protection and regulatory oversight.
The service gives residents a locally hosted alternative to international mining platforms. By doing so, it supports UAE’s growing blockchain and digital finance infrastructure. Residents can now participate in digital asset creation safely and legally within the country.
The launch of Cloud Miner also represents a step forward in increasing digital participation in the UAE. Individuals can now invest in cryptocurrency mining without the usual logistical or regulatory concerns.
