The UAE views recent US tariff changes as a chance to boost India-UAE trade. According to UAE parliamentarian Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, every challenge brings a new opportunity. He believes the current global trade shifts open fresh paths for India-UAE cooperation.
He stressed that the India-UAE relationship is already strong. It covers government, private sector, and people-to-people ties. He said both countries should take full advantage of this moment. With changing trade dynamics worldwide, the two nations can build stronger economic links.
Al Nuaimi added that the US tariffs offer India-UAE trade new potential. He pointed out that the UAE often finds growth in tough times. The same approach now applies to its partnership with India. This moment, he said, calls for active efforts and smart moves from both sides.
He also highlighted the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA) between India and the UAE. The agreement, he noted, opened many new doors for businesses. It not only benefited the two nations but also gave India access to markets in over 27 other countries.
Moreover, Al Nuaimi made it clear that the UAE will not answer US tariffs with new tariffs. Instead, the country prefers open dialogue. He explained that the UAE believes in solving issues through discussion, not through trade barriers.
He spoke of regular high-level meetings between India and the UAE. These meetings, he said, help to strengthen ties further. Recent visits, including that of the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi to India, reflect this growing bond. Officials from both countries now meet almost every week.
Al Nuaimi also mentioned his meeting with Indian Parliament Speaker Om Birla in Tashkent. These constant engagements, he said, show how the India-UAE trade relationship continues to grow stronger. He believes the future holds even more promise.
India-UAE trade has reached a strategic level. With global shifts in trade rules, both countries see more space to expand their cooperation. Al Nuaimi said this growing partnership stands apart, offering many shared opportunities.
