Electric vehicle charging network UAEV has signed an agreement with Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) to install charging infrastructure in parking areas at DWTC and Dubai Exhibition Centre.
The first phase will cover four locations at DWTC, the Emirates News Agency (WAM) reported on Wednesday. The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the WETEX exhibition in Dubai.

The chargers will serve visitors to exhibitions, conferences and events, as well as businesses and commercial fleets operating around the two venues.
Ali Al Darwish, Acting Chief Executive Officer of UAEV, said the deal would bring charging closer to drivers at destinations they already use for work and events.
Abdulrahman Obaid Abu Al Shawareb, Executive Vice President of Protocol and Security at DWTC, said the venue would progressively expand EV charging across its destinations.
The companies did not disclose the number of chargers, the investment involved or a timeline for the rollout.
