Vodafone Partners with Nokia for 5G Network Modernization

Vodafone has partnered with Nokia for a major Vodafone 5G network modernization initiative across the country. The project focuses on expanding 5G coverage, improving network reliability, and increasing capacity to meet growing demand for faster, more dependable connectivity.

The Vodafone 5G network modernization includes upgrading the company’s core network and broadband infrastructure. These upgrades aim to serve both consumer and enterprise customers by delivering advanced, high-speed services that enhance user experience and improve operational efficiency.

By leveraging Nokia’s end-to-end technology, Vodafone will reduce latency and accelerate the rollout of new digital services. For example, Vodafone customizes innovative solutions such as 5G slicing for specific enterprise requirements through network modernization.

Moreover, automation and enhanced security will create a flexible, resilient network architecture. Vodafone is also deploying intelligent broadband access as part of its Vodafone 5G network Modernization efforts to future-proof its infrastructure.

Nokia’s multi-cloud core software portfolio, including Packet Core and Network Data Analytics Function, supports Vodafone’s transition toward a cloud-native environment.

Digital Operations software from Nokia will enable end-to-end orchestration, automated 5G slicing, and AI-driven network assurance. These advanced tools will improve service quality and simplify network management even as data traffic increases.

Sheikh Hamad Abdulla Jassim Al-Thani, Vodafone’s CEO, stated that the company is committed to digital transformation aligned with Qatar National Vision 2030. Integrating fiber, mobile, and cloud capabilities is key to building a smarter, safer network through the Vodafone 5G network.

Raghav Sahgal, Nokia’s President of Cloud and Network Services, highlighted the partnership’s focus on flexible scaling and operational efficiency.

Additionally, Vodafone is investing in staff training to ensure smooth adoption of the modernized network technologies. This effort supports consistent service delivery and ongoing innovation.

Overall, the Vodafone 5G network with Nokia marks a significant milestone in enhancing Qatar’s digital infrastructure and preparing for future connectivity challenges.
