Kuwait Pavilion Earns Global Recognition at BrandEx 2026

Kuwait’s pavilion at Expo 2025 Osaka has won the Silver Award at BrandEx 2026 for Architecture and Best Thematic Exhibition. The pavilion, titled “Visionary Lighthouse,” marks a strong international achievement for the country.

Speaking to KUNA, Assistant Undersecretary for Support Services at the Ministry of Information Salem Al-Watyan said the award reflects continuous support from the political leadership. Moreover, it aligns with the ministry’s strategy to enhance high-quality international participation and expand Kuwait’s cultural and media presence at major global events.

As a result, the pavilion helps build a positive national image and strengthens soft power. It does so through creative, modern, and interactive experiences that clearly highlight Kuwait’s national identity. In addition, Al-Watyan explained that such participation supports cultural and media diplomacy in an effective way.

Moreover, officials highlighted the role of youth and creative teams. Designers, engineers, and media specialists worked together closely. Their collaboration ensured consistent messaging and innovative presentation methods.

Additionally, the pavilion demonstrated Kuwait’s openness to global dialogue. It encouraged cultural exchange with international visitors. This interaction helped correct misconceptions and strengthened mutual understanding.

At the same time, organizers focused on visitor experience metrics. They tracked engagement levels and feedback. These indicators showed strong interest across different age groups.

Furthermore, the success supports future participation planning. Authorities now assess lessons learned from Osaka. They plan to apply these insights to upcoming international expos.

In parallel, cultural experts see wider regional implications. Gulf countries increasingly use exhibitions for diplomacy. Kuwait’s achievement therefore strengthens regional competition and cooperation.

Finally, officials confirmed continued investment in cultural infrastructure. They believe global recognition delivers long-term returns. These returns include reputation growth, partnerships, and international trust.

He also noted that the achievement reflects strong backing from Minister of Information and Culture and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi. According to Al-Watyan, the minister emphasizes strategic international platforms that showcase Kuwait’s humanitarian values and deep heritage through people-centered communication.

Finally, Al-Watyan stressed that the ministry aims to position the Expo 2025 pavilion as a leading cultural and media model. Therefore, the ministry will continue supporting impactful international participation to strengthen Kuwait’s global cultural and media standing.
