Oman Air and Finnair Launch Codeshare, Oman Air’s First New Partnership Since Joining Oneworld

Oman Air and Finnair have launched a codeshare partnership linking Oman, Finland and Australia, the airlines said on October 18.

The agreement is Oman Air’s first new codeshare since the Omani flag carrier joined the oneworld alliance in June 2025. Finnair is also a oneworld member.

Oman Air passengers can connect to Helsinki through London Heathrow, where Oman Air operates 11 flights a week from its Muscat hub.

The codeshare also covers Finnair flights to Helsinki from Paris, Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Munich, Zurich, Milan and Rome, according to TradeArabia.

It extends to Melbourne through Bangkok, which Oman Air serves twice daily.

Members of both airlines’ loyalty programs will receive oneworld tier recognition and service benefits across their journeys.

“Our partnership with Finnair represents an exciting next step in unlocking the full value of alliance membership,” said Rohan Patell, head of partnerships and alliances at Oman Air.

Fredrik Wildtgrube, senior vice president of alliances and airline partnerships at Finnair, said the Finnish carrier looks forward to expanding the partnership further.

The airlines described the agreement as the first phase of a broader collaboration. Oman Air said the deal supports its efforts to bring more international visitors to Oman, including through its Muscat stopover program.
