MGX, the Abu Dhabi artificial intelligence investment company, is considering monetizing some of its existing holdings to provide early liquidity to its investors, according to a statement on its latest board meeting released on Monday.
Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of MGX, chaired the company’s third board meeting of 2026, which reviewed recent investments, portfolio performance and strategy, the Abu Dhabi Media Office said.

The board reviewed MGX’s participation in Anthropic’s $65 billion Series H round, which valued the AI developer at $965 billion. It also reviewed Databricks’ $5 billion strategic round at a $190 billion valuation.
Directors discussed the firm’s investment in SpaceX following the company’s $85.7 billion public offering. The statement pointed to accelerating revenue growth from the leasing of SpaceX’s growing compute capacity to the wider foundation model ecosystem.
The board noted strong revenue growth at OpenAI and Anthropic as both companies prepare for potential initial public offerings.
The statement said MGX’s investment pipeline holds opportunities across the entire AI stack. It did not say which holdings could be monetized or give a timeline.
“Intelligence capacity is no longer a constraint to human progress,” said Ahmed Yahia Al Idrissi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of MGX.
Khaldoon Khalifa Al Mubarak, Jassem Mohamed Bu Ataba Al Zaabi, Peng Xiao and Martin Edelman also attended the meeting.
MGX was set up in 2024 with Mubadala Investment Company and G42 as founding partners.
