Profit fell 8.3% from SR258.8 million in the second quarter. The company said average selling prices for most products dropped 19% from the previous quarter, despite higher sales volumes.

For the first nine months, net profit jumped 283% to SR507.3 million, from SR132.4 million a year earlier. Revenue rose 15.5% to SR4.88 billion, from SR4.22 billion.

Yansab attributed the nine-month increase to higher average selling prices for all products, higher sales volumes, improved operational efficiency and better plant reliability.

Operating profit for the nine months rose to SR519.3 million, from SR122 million. Earnings per share were SR0.90, compared with SR0.24.

The results included provisions totaling SR104 million, the company said. Shareholders’ equity stood at SR10.19 billion at the end of September.
