The LNG shipping company said the regional situation continued to affect its Marine Services segment, which covers ship repair, shipping agency and towage.

“Cost-control initiatives were implemented while maintaining the stability of our core activities and ensuring the highest levels of operational reliability across our fleet,” Chief Executive Officer Abdullah Al Sulaiti said in a statement.

Nakilat said it continued to support Qatar’s energy transportation sector during the period.

The company named its first newbuild 88,000-cubic-meter LPG/ammonia carrier during the period. The vessel, Energy North, is the first of six ships Nakilat is building at HD Hyundai Samho’s yard in South Korea, two LNG carriers and four LPG/ammonia carriers.

Nakilat’s total orderbook stands at 40 vessels under construction at shipyards in South Korea and China. First-phase deliveries are progressing in line with the planned schedule from 2026, the company said.

Its subsidiaries Qatar Fabrication Company and Qatar Shipyard Technology Solutions continued work on industrial and marine projects linked to the country’s energy sector.

Nakilat will hold a conference call on the results on Wednesday, October 21, at 13:30 Doha time.
