Saudi Aramco has completed its acquisition of a 49% stake in HUMAIN, the artificial intelligence company owned by the Public Investment Fund, the two shareholders said on Sunday.
PIF keeps the remaining 51%. Aramco bought the stake through a wholly owned subsidiary.

Aramco is transferring AI, compute and digital assets to HUMAIN and contributing about SR9.9 billion ($2.6 billion) in cash in 2026, according to a joint statement published by Zawya.
The two companies first agreed the deal in October 2025. The European Commission cleared the joint acquisition in July.
HUMAIN, launched in May 2025, plans to deploy 3 gigawatts of AI data center capacity by 2030. It builds data centers, cloud platforms and AI models, including the Arabic large language model ALLaM.
Aramco said it expects to use HUMAIN’s infrastructure to apply AI in industrial operations and to earn more from its existing AI and digital assets.
“Since 2023, Aramco has achieved $11.3 billion in Technology Realized Value, with a significant portion coming from AI solutions,” Aramco President and Chief Executive Amin H. Nasser said.
Yazeed A. Al-Humied, deputy governor and head of MENA investments at PIF, said the deal brings PIF’s and Aramco’s AI investments together under one company.
