Bahrain park projects continue to grow within the Sitra housing development. Minister of Municipalities and Agriculture Affairs, Wael bin Nasser Al Mubarak, recently visited the construction site. He confirmed that the two planned parks have reached 40 percent completion.
Moreover, Bahrain park projects support the Kingdom’s urban development goals. These projects not only create recreational areas but also help expand green space and public facilities. As a result, residents benefit from improved quality of life.
During the inspection, several senior officials attended, including the Chairman of the Capital Municipal Council and the Capital Municipality Director-General. Their presence showed unified support for the success of Bahrain park projects.
The first park covers 2,104 square meters. It will feature two padel courts of 400 square meters. Additionally, it includes over 50 trees and 680 square meters of ground cover, making up 31 percent of the total area.
Meanwhile, the second park spans 2,176 square meters. It will include a 490-square-meter multi-activity playground. Around 50 trees and 680 square meters of ground cover will make up 32 percent of the park space. Moreover, the park will have 26 parking spaces and four seating areas to ensure convenience for visitors.
Bahrain park projects aim to transform local environments. The Ministry collaborates with the Housing and Urban Planning Ministry to meet residential needs. This joint effort helps optimize available spaces while improving the local landscape.
In addition, Minister Al Mubarak emphasized the importance of shaded walkways and open areas for recreation. These features encourage families to enjoy healthy and active lifestyles outdoors.
Chairman Tarada praised the government’s efforts to promote recreational infrastructure. He noted that Bahrain park projects create welcoming spaces that serve all age groups. These projects also increase access to municipal services across neighborhoods.
Beyond recreation, Bahrain park projects also strengthen environmental efforts. Tree planting and ground cover add greenery and reduce urban heat. Thus, the parks improve the visual and environmental quality of residential zones.
Tarada also acknowledged the collaboration among agencies that keeps the work on track. Through cooperation, these projects reach completion faster and meet community expectations. The parks will soon offer spaces for exercise, relaxation, and social connection.
