ADIPEC 2026 will open in Abu Dhabi on Monday with more than 40 ministers expected to attend, a record 2,260 exhibiting companies and more than 1,800 speakers, the state news agency WAM reported on Friday.
The four-day energy exhibition and conference has 16 halls fully booked and 30 country pavilions. Organizers expect more than 239,000 attendees from over 170 countries.

Demand for exhibition space led organizers to move the opening ceremony to the Abu Dhabi Energy Centre, freeing extra capacity at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.
Ministers and chief executives
Dr. Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology and managing director and group CEO of ADNOC, will address the opening ceremony. ADNOC hosts the event, which is held under the patronage of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
A ministerial panel on energy security will include Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, the UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Germany’s Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Katherina Reiche, Turkey’s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Alparslan Bayraktar, and Egypt’s Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Karim Badawi.
Chief executives on the program include bp CEO Meg O’Neill, Oxy President and CEO Richard Jackson, Siemens AG President and CEO Roland Busch, Baker Hughes Chairman and CEO Lorenzo Simonelli and INPEX President and CEO Takayuki Ueda.
WAM said 54 national and international oil and energy companies will take part, including bp, TotalEnergies, Eni, Oxy, ExxonMobil, Chevron, NNPC and INPEX. Siemens AG, IBM and Microsoft are among the technology and industrial companies attending.
Reuters reported on Thursday, citing sources, that Exxon Mobil and Chevron had canceled plans for senior executives to travel to the event over security concerns.
Organizer’s view
“We have a record-breaking 2,260 exhibiting companies, with the exhibition venue fully sold out and additional structures built to accommodate demand,” said Christopher Hudson, president of dmg events, which organizes ADIPEC.
