Bahrain, Poland Investments Boosted by Economic Forum

Bahrain highlighted its commitment to strengthening Bahrain-Poland investments during a major economic forum in the Lublin region. The forum brought together senior officials, diplomats, and over 40 Polish companies eager to expand in the Gulf region.

Samir Nass, Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, emphasized Bahrain’s diverse investment opportunities. He encouraged Polish companies to explore sectors like trade, construction, tourism, transportation, and financial services. He also stressed Bahrain’s strategic location as a gateway to the Gulf, the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asian markets.

However, Nass urged both countries to advance bilateral relations and expand economic cooperation. He noted Bahrain’s progress in economic diversification and its focus on innovation, technology, and industry. He highlighted that Bahrain’s financial infrastructure includes over 400 offshore banks supporting global business operations.

Jarosław Stawiarski, Marshal of the Lublin Voivodeship, praised the forum as a key step toward deeper economic ties. He pointed out that the Lublin region offers strong agriculture, industry, and academic infrastructure, making it attractive for Bahraini investors seeking European partnerships.

Dariusz Marek Jedlina, President of the Lublin Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stressed the forum’s role in fostering private sector collaboration. He expressed support for joint initiatives aimed at creating sustainable partnerships between businesses in both countries.

As well as other Bahraini business leaders shared similar views. Waleed Kanoo highlighted the Chamber’s efforts to empower the private sector and provide data-driven recommendations for business growth. Ahmed Al Salloom underscored Bahrain’s role as a gateway for Polish goods and investments. He also called for stronger cooperation in renewable energy and green hydrogen projects.

Dr. Waheeb Al Khaja focused on education and scientific research partnerships. He encouraged expanding academic collaborations and launching joint programs to build human capital and develop future leaders.

A senior official from the International Cooperation Centre in Lublin noted that the region provides an investor-friendly environment. Incentives include tax refunds of up to 70% for 15 years, modern infrastructure, and access to Europe’s largest dry port.

Nevertheless, the forum concluded with the signing of several memoranda of understanding. Both nations expressed their commitment to strengthening Bahrain-Poland investments in food security, manufacturing, education, financial services, and technology.
