G42 Signs Non-Binding Pacts With Yann LeCun’s AMI Labs to Explore AI World Models in the UAE

Abu Dhabi technology group G42 and its portfolio company Analog have signed memoranda of understanding with Advanced Machine Intelligence (AMI Labs), the Paris-based artificial intelligence company co-founded by Turing Award laureate Yann LeCun, G42 said on Tuesday.

The agreements are non-binding. They cover frontier AI research, advanced compute infrastructure, sovereign enabled cloud and potential industrial applications, according to a statement from G42.

No financial terms were disclosed. G42 said the scope, commercial terms and implementation would be set out in separate definitive agreements.

The MoUs were signed on the sidelines of the UAE-France Business Dialogue in Abu Dhabi.

AMI Labs is developing so-called world models, AI systems designed to understand physical environments, predict the outcomes of actions, and reason and plan.

The proposed collaboration would combine AMI Labs’ research with G42’s AI infrastructure, cloud and deployment capabilities, including Analog’s Physical Intelligence platform, to identify where world models could be applied across industries.

Analog is headquartered in Abu Dhabi, with G42 as lead investor. It is led by founder and Chief Executive Alex Kipman, the inventor behind Microsoft’s HoloLens and Kinect.

“At G42, we are proud to build on this foundation through our work with AMI Labs,” said Mansoor Al Mansoori, Chief Executive of G42 International.

“The UAE brings together talent, compute at scale and deep industrial expertise, which makes G42 a natural partner as we explore what world models can do in real environments,” said Alexandre Lebrun, co-founder and Chief Executive of AMI Labs.

The deals expand G42’s presence in France, where it operates an AI data center in Grenoble and has a strategic partnership with Mistral AI that was formalized in May 2025.
